Senior Account Manager - Online Advertising

What we're looking for

Doodle sells Advertising mainly through the programmatic channel in the US. Now, we want to go a step further and enhance direct deals with agencies and build up a network in the agencies landscape to sell more premium Ads and position ourselves as a premium partner in the Ad Industry.  

Doodle is looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager to build and lead our digital advertising programs in the US for the world’s leading online calendar solution. You will be responsible for building up the network with the agencies and clients, developing digital campaign strategy, maximising online/mobile adverting performance and account management of all digital campaigns (reports). You report directly to the Chief Sales Officer (based in Zurich) and work pre and post-sale to ensure fulfilment of clients’ business needs. The position is responsible for media plan creation, campaign optimisation, implementation, reporting and billing. 

What this role involves

  • Increase the revenue stream under monthly forecasts
  • Build up a partnership with the lead media agencies and position Doodle as one of the advertising platforms
  • Target and grow top digital ad spenders to drive incremental and renewal opportunities
  • Provide clients with targeted, customised digital ad recommendations
  • Attend client meeting and presentations when necessary to review post campaign performance, optimisation recommendations and renewal strategy
  • Oversee the launch of digital advertising campaigns across desktop, mobile and programmatic solutions and provide them with the necessary reports (Screenshots, End reporting)
  • It’s all about relationships- you’ll build positive business relationships with your clients through proactive support, on-site visits and client education/training
  • You’ll work cross-functionally and act as a liaison between multiple internal teams (Operations, Product, Marketing, Sales) to ensure successful setup and maintenance of accounts

Required Skills/Experience

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in digital advertising as an Account Manager
  • Experience with digital ad serving technologies, web analytics and trafficking is required
  • Experience with programmatic solutions and ad exchanges on the buy or sell side is strongly preferred
  • Problem solving, multi-tasking, self-starter, takes initiative, attention to detail/organisation, works with a high level of integrity, works under deadlines

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong desire to be proactive for acquisition and takes ownership of client relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills: demonstrate strong written and oral communication as well as outstanding people skills
  • Advanced knowledge of DoubleClick (either DFP or DFA) ad serving technologies and Google Analytics 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • High attention to detail and level of organisation
  • Desire to provide exceptional customer service and exceed client expectations
  • Travel as needed
