Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a Product Design Lead who is passionate about design, pragmatic and looking to work in a collaborative environment. You’ll lead a team of designers providing direction, guidance, coaching and mentoring as well as input on best practices, tooling and approaches. You’ll be both a leader and a hands-on practitioner, leading by example. You’ll work in a data driven, iterative environment looking to deliver in small batches and continuously learn from feedback and analysis - think lean UX. You’ll work as part of a cross-functional team to identify and solve customer problems.

Ideally, You Have

• Many years of experience as a product designer
• Several years managing or leading design teams preferred
• Experience working in a collaborative team, partnering closely with product management to define use cases and requirements, and working directly with developers on implementation of your designs
• Experience creating and organizing processes around design system preferred
• Fluency in English

What the Role Involves

• Lead a team of two product designers
• Coach, mentor and help grow designers in the team
• Drive understanding and adoption of lean UX and lean startup mindset within the team
• Define and continually refine processes to help speed and efficiency within the team
• Collaborate with the team and engineers to define, document and iterate on components and design patterns to make up a design system
• Working directly as part of a cross-functional team: with engineers, (be they front-end or back-end) and Product Managers in a collaborative fashion. You have a hands on mentality and you don’t “throw things over the wall”
• Quickly and thoroughly create and iterate on scenarios, wireframes, process flows, design mockups, and clickable prototypes as needed to effectively explore and communicate interaction behaviors
• Fostering a healthy design practice by giving and receiving feedback with maturity and perspective
