Head of B2B Sales @Doodle 100%

Doodle helps busy professionals focus on their real work by making time-consuming tasks like scheduling and organizing meetings fast and easy. Every month, over 30 million users use doodle.com, the world’s leader in online scheduling. We are currently transitioning from a free product monetized with ads to a subscription-based freemium model.

While we are building up considerable traction in converting users of the free Doodle product into paid premium customers, a huge opportunity lies in selling larger software subscriptions to SMBs, mid-sized companies and large corporations. To help scale that sales motion, we are looking for a Head of B2B Sales.
You have meaningful sales experience in a hyper-growth SaaS-startup and have found success by building up and surrounding yourself with a great sales team. On top of that, you have stayed up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends around the SaaS sales stack. As we see the US-market as our biggest opportunity, your relevant experience and a large and healthy network in the US will be very relevant.
You will directly report to the CEO and will join Doodle’s management team. You will be the first dedicated B2B sales hire and we expect you to build up a high performing sales team in the coming months. You can count on the support of a passionate Customer Success Agent as well as the Growth and Marketing teams.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will develop a scalable, repeatable and profitable sales process
  • You will hire an industry-leading sales team dedicated to bringing Doodle’s business scheduling solution to SMBs, mid size companies and corporations all over the world
  • You will lead, mentor, and inspire the Sales Development Representatives and Account Executives you will be hiring
  • You will partner with Engineering and Product to relay customer needs, concerns, and experiences to drive product strategy, roadmap, and prioritization
  • With your team and closely collaborating with marketing, you will define and develop the sales tactics. Among others, this will include setting up the sales process, sales documentation and proper training for your team
  • Based on your extensive experience you will review and adapt the current sales stack across the entire funnel to ensure the best possible support systems for your team
  • You will define and adapt the sales strategy
  • In close collaboration with the marketing team you will agree on the proper volume of leads and how they are qualified for the sales team to pick them up
  • You will be responsible for all subscription revenue for premium accounts with >20 seats. Your goal will be measured in terms of overall ARR. You will thus be expected to drive net new ARR, expansion ARR and renewal ARR

Your profile:

  • You have 8+ years of top performing B2B sales experience and 4+ years experience leading a sales team
  • You can show a significant track record of building high-performing teams that consistently deliver and exceed revenue goals
  • You have experience planning and executing account strategies, crafting and presenting sales plans, setting goals, measuring performance and being accountable for results to executive management
  • Your exceptional communication skills enable you to quickly build strong collaboration with cross-functional partners
  • You love and strive on the dynamic environment of a startup: you can tackle tough business problems, roll up your sleeves, and drive revenue
  • Given your experience you have a deep understanding of the productivity and collaboration software industry and the key drivers of a successful sales team in this environment
  • You have excellent communication skills interacting with product management, sales and engineering within Doodle. Having a strong product affinity, you’re not scared of diving deep into technical and analytical questions to set up and optimise the sales tech stack
  • Your English skills are excellent (native or near-native) with German a plus
  • As we are planning to expand to the US, you have relevant experience in the US-market. A US work visa would be a plus

We're a tight-knit team of 50 (or so) spread out over four different countries. We’ve got our home-base in Zurich, our app teams and designers in Berlin, and our AI counterpart Meekan, in Tel Aviv. 

We’re not a huge company so our team structure enables us to quickly implement new ideas before they get stale on the corporate ladder. Everyone here is encouraged to contribute or experiment, and if we’re all in agreement about a decision we go for it.
