Who We’re Looking For

We need a Lead Designer focussed on Product/Ux to join our team in Berlin.

You will be part of the Design Chapter of Doodle. As a Senior member on this team you'd be contributing to mature our user-centered design process while working on some of the interesting challenges in Scheduling in cross-functional teams together with Product Manager and collaboration with Engineering.

Ideally, You Have

Hard Skills

  • Capability of turning user problems into simple and functional solutions.
  • A good understanding of usability principles.
  • High quality production of wireframes and visual designs for digital platforms.
  • Production of both rapid and high fidelity prototypes to describe the behavior of concepts.
  • User-Interface and Interaction Design with attention to detail.
  • Experience in preparing and conducting User Research and Usability Tests.
  • Experience working with data to validate decisions and measuring the success of design/experience with relevant metrics.
  • Enthusiasm for digital design best practices, new interaction models, design standards and emerging technologies.


  • Clear communication skills
  • Understand stakeholder needs, anticipate stakeholder needs and present potential solutions
  • Working cross-functional teams in close collaboration with Engineering, Product Managers and Product Marketing/Customer Support

For a Lead Role, we expect

  • Minimum of six years of experience in the field
  • Ability to lead your own projects and organise your workflow
  • Demonstrate experience in coaching and growing junior designers
  • Ability to contribute to push the Design Process forward by identifying gaps and keeping abreast with best practices in tooling/methods
  • Knowledge of intricacies in scheduling meetings would be a plus.

What the Role Involves

Each Designer at Doodle is part of a different team, but as a Chapter within Doodle, we as a group have the responsibility to elevate the Design practice to higher standards and always evolve in a positive direction. This includes:

  1. Continuous contribution to the Design System and Component Library
  2. Contribute to the development of the Design Practice and Culture within Doodle (Events, Best Practices, Community Development, Ways of Working)

As a Designer at Doodle we expect that each Designer can be self-driven and self-organised with the support of the Design Team and respective PM. Each Designer should have a comprehensive view of the different aspects of the Design practice - Research, Prototyping, Testing and Delivery.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Foster and continuous work on Discovery and Validation processes
    1. Setup, Organise and Run User Research in order to discover new needs or validate current Product approach
  2. Development and Design of Concepts and Solutions that best serve our customers and respective User Testing
    1. Continuous UX and UI work on the core product
    2. Setup, Organisation and Running of Usability Testing, both qualitative and quantitative
  3. Continuous Product Development support day-to-day with Developers and PM
  4. Evangelise, promote and implement the Vision and Mission of Doodle and its strategic decisions in and out of the Design Chapter
  5. Be an active voice of the User in all senses - strategic, product development and production
